• About the Post Graduate Program
1. What is the PGPM?
PGPM refers to AsiaGSB's full-time residential one-year Post Graduate Program in Management. This PGPM is on the lines of Executive-MBA program of Fisher College of Business (FCOB) at the Ohio State University, USA. The Executive MBA program of Fisher College has been ranked 14th worldwide by Business Week. (Business Week 2009).
The program structure is designed in consultations with Faculty at FCOB, professors from IIM / IIT and also Industry practitioners.

• Eligibility Criteria
1. What is the Eligibility Criteria for Admissions?
The Eligibility Criteria are -
- Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with min 50% aggregate marks.
- GMAT/GRE/CAT/XAT Scores
- Preferably 2 years of relevant work experience is required
- TOEFL/IELTS for International Students who have not had English as medium of education in graduation/post graduation
GMAT
- The GMAT is the Graduate Management Admission Test conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and is a globally recognized test for admission to business schools. This test is a computer adaptive standardized test in mathematics and the English language for measuring aptitude to succeed academically.

- Normally it takes 2-3 weeks for the official GMAT score to reach us. Therefore, we strongly recommend that applicants plan and book the GMAT test dates well in advance.
- Currently a GMAT score is valid for 5 years.
- If you submit more than one GMAT score, the higher score will be considered
GRE
- The Graduate Record Examination or GRE is a commercially-run standardized test that is an admission requirement for many graduate schools in many English-speaking countries. GRE Exam is administered by Educational Testing Service (or ETS)
- GRE Scores are valid for 5 years
CAT
- CAT is an entrance exam held annually for admission to the Post-graduate and Fellow Programs in management courses. This is a written examination organized by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM). For more information, please visit http://www.catiim.in/faq.html XAT

TOEFL
- TOEFL test must be taken by applicants whose native language is not English. Please visit their official web site www.toefl.org or write to toefl@ets.org
- You may waive the TOEFL if you have earned an undergraduate or master's degree in an English-speaking country or from an institution in which English is the language of instruction. To waive the TOEFL, you must include a letter requesting the waiver in your application AND have it documented that your medium of education was English.
- TOEFL scores are valid for 2 years
IELTS

2. Do I need 16 years of education?
You must have 15/16years of education (10+2+3/4) with preferably 2 years of work experience. Students who have passed through correspondence education in graduation also can apply provided it is from a recognized university.
3. Does fulfillment of all eligibility criteria guarantee admission?
Final selection of the candidate is based on a comprehensive and holistic review of the profile, which includes academic background, professional achievements, verification of all supporting documents and personal interview.

• Application Process
1. Where can I obtain the Application Forms?
The application kit can either be procured directly from AsiaGSB, Hyderabad or can be downloaded from our website - www.asiagsb.ac.in. The form is also available in select IMS and Career Launcher centers across India.
2. What is the checklist of items for Application?

3. What is the Application Fee?
The duly filled in application has to be sent to us along with a DD of Rs 1000/- in favor of Asia Graduate School of Business, payable at Hyderabad.
4. How do I know about application status?
After receiving the application, the application is processed by the Admissions Committee. On receipt of the filled in forms and requisite documents, the application is processed and candidates are called by phone and email is sent at the earliest for Personal Interview.
5. Can I re-apply?
Yes, all candidates who have applied in the earlier year are eligible to apply.
6. What is the Personal Interview?
As a part of the admission process, all short listed candidates will be interviewed. There is no Group Discussion.
7. If I am unable to come to the campus, how will I be interviewed?
You will be interviewed by telephone. We will call you from the campus to schedule the interview date and time with our interview panel. We will also be conducting Interviews at select locations in India - the students will be intimated beforehand about the Interview schedule.
8. What is the selection procedure?
Admission is offered to the applicants after taking a holistic review of candidature. This would include the GMAT/GRE/CAT/XAT/TOEFL scores, academic background, professional achievements, references, and Personal Interview.
9. How do I confirm my acceptance to the Program?
You can accept the offer by remitting a non-refundable admission fee of Rs. 30,000 within the deadline. We will assume your non-acceptance if the amount is not paid within 30 days of receiving the offer letter.
10. Is the admission fee part of the tuition fee?
Yes, the admission fee is part of the tuition fee
11. Joining Instructions
At the time of joining, you will be required to bring all necessary documents which will be verified for authenticity. A Joining Instruction booklet and orientation will be given before program commencement.

• Fees and Financial Aid
1. What does the Tuition Fee cover?
Tuition fee covers
- Rent for single and family accommodation (there is a nominal additional charge for family accommodation)
- Fee covers a free laptop per student
- Standard meal plan for single candidates with a nominal additional charge for families.
- One main text book per person for core courses (Finance, Marketing & HRM)
- Alumni Membership is waived and we give free access to the network through proper channels at AsiaGSB
The tuition fee does not cover the following
- Electricity, gas and water at the hostel
- Airfare, food and accommodation for internship in the United States of America
- Transit between AsiaGSB campus and the hostel
2. Do you provide financial loans?
We have a tie-up with HDFC Bank and Credila Finance to facilitate education loans. You can apply for loans after joining the program and we will send the due dates to apply. Loan processing will be done with complete assistance.
3. Do you give tuition waivers?
AsiaGSB provides merit-based and need-based waivers up to 10% of the tuition fee. Details of these waivers will be informed in the admission offer wherever applicable. The applicant has to give an essay at the time of application with relevant details to be eligible for tuition waiver.

• International Immersion Program in the USA
1. Is there an International Immersion program at AsiaGSB?
AsiaGSB has a 4 week International Immersion Program. Students will be given exposure to companies in the United States and a course on Marketing Management will be taken at the campus of Fisher College of Business in Columbus, Ohio. 2. Is there an alternative if I am unable to go to the USA?
During the same duration, you can work at any company in India. Students are required to do preliminary research in identifying companies and getting internship. It is recommended that you start planning very early .
3. What option do I have if I am rejected in the interview at the American Consulate?
In case you are rejected, you may reapply with proper documentation. In unavoidable circumstances where student is rejected again, AsiaGSB will facilitate an internship in India.
4. How is field study different from International Immersion Program?
Field study is a short-term experience at companies varying from 2 to 3 weeks. Our current batch of students are getting excellent experience with companies such as TCS, ABG Shipping, Citibank, NTPC, PepsiCo, IBM, Google, HuL etc. The objective is to strongly link with the industry throughout the program.
5. What is Social Practicum?
Students will work for about 2-3 weeks with NGOs and Community Development organizations to understand, participate in social issues and deeply engage in evolving a managerial approach towards sustainable development of society.

• Placements
1. When do the placements start?
Placement Team works from Day One to identify your core strengths, interests and background. The pre-placement season starts in early February and closes in March.
2. Does AsiaGSB guarantee placements?
AsiaGSB does not claim to guarantee placements but makes every effort to help students in securing ideal career opportunities in India and abroad.
3. How is the placement for the current batch?
The placement would commence in the month of March.
4. How does the placement process work?
- We have excellent placements lining up for the current batch. With the network from Fisher Faculty, ITM Group and strong industry linkage, we are extremely confident of good placements with Return on Investment.
- Our placement cell is already active with direct involvement of AsiaGSB’s Director. Corporate networking is on for facilitating best prospects for the students.
- AsiaGSB is a part of ITM Group of Institutions which has a strong placement track record. We would therefore also be utilizing ITM’s placement networks for active placement activity.
- For the One year PGPM students, the faculty from Fisher College of Business, USA, who are consultants to many MNC’s would also promote and recommend our students.
- We will provide the necessary placement platform for our students and ensure that the best of recruiters visit our campus for placements.
- In addition, the best and most relevant academic content from high caliber faculty will be delivered, offering the students insight into the Global and Asian Management practices and corporate requirements. We expect this to give our students a cutting edge knowledge and a better future prospects.

• Credentials
1. Does UGC/AICTE recognize AsiaGSB's PGPM?
AsiaGSB does not offer a diploma or a degree. It is a certificate programme for students with experience. Therefore, we have not sought recognition for our Post Graduate Programme in Management from either the AICTE or the UGC.
2. Are there any restrictions if AICTE approval is sought?
The course curriculum cannot be changed according to the industry needs, market and economic conditions at par with international standards of Fisher College of Business, USA. There are restrictions on appointment of full time faculty as well as sourcing visiting faculty.
3. What is AACSB?
Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, USA (AACSB) is an association of educational institutions, businesses, and other organizations devoted to the advancement of higher education in management education. It is also the premier accrediting agency of collegiate business schools worldwide. AsiaGSB is already a member of AACSB.This gives global recognition to our program and boosts international placements. It takes 7 years to get accreditation and the IIM’s have got only recently. • Reservations
1. Do you have any quotas for NRI'S/SC/ST/BC?
AsiaGSB does not have any such quota so far. ITM Group as a whole does not believe in any kind of Donations as well. We encourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds.

1. What is the role of Faculty?
The affiliation between the two world-class institutions brings real-time global exposure to your experience. Fisher Faculty teach core courses and electives at AsiaGSB campus. With AsiaGSB faculty, the pedagogy is enhanced by a mix of case studies, business simulations, interactive exercises, one-on-one interaction, skills-based methods, and multimedia cases that takes learning beyond the classroom. We also bring distinguished professors and industry experts as visiting faculty to broaden the knowledge horizon of students.
2. Are Fisher Faculty accessible after the course?
Fisher Faculty are available to the students throughout their stay at the AsiaGSB campus. There will be rigorous knowledge exchange with Fisher Faculty during the entire program duration.

• Infrastructure
1. Where is the current campus?
Currently located in Jubilee Hills, in close proximity to the Hi-Tec City, AsiaGSB campus leverages on various benefits such as close interaction with industry, field-studies, guest lectures, Management Development Programs, Conferences, Workshops and Seminars. The present campus can accommodate more than seventy students. The present location also allows AsiaGSB to bring in prominent corporate visitors and guest speakers to facilitate interaction between students and industry professionals. The campus has Wi-Fi enabled classrooms as well as access to vast online resources.
2. Where is the upcoming campus?
Located in the technology centre of India, in Hyderabad - AsiaGSB’s expansive 14 acre campus is being built to world class aesthetic standards, functionality and technology, employing the best practices in institutional infrastructure. This campus is designed by internationally renowned Italian architects M & M IESCO. The campus is located in Ghatkesar about 20 kms from Hyderabad on the Hyderabad – Warangal National Highway (NH 202). The campus overlooks a sprawling lake and is spread over a light hilly terrain. The campus is in close proximity to Raheja Mindspace, an IT Township. AsiaGSB’s new campus when completed will be a self contained ecosystem, placing academic, residential and activity spaces in close proximity to each other while balancing community interaction and privacy. Students and faculty shall live and work in a ‘learning community’ environment where academic development goes beyond the classroom sessions.
